Never Say Never; Four Times Dick Vitale Has Had Cancer, and Four Times He’s Beat It

Dick Vitale, a legend in the announcer community, has just conquered his diagnosis of cancer, for the fourth time in his life. Dick Vitale is a college basketball announcer who is ready to step back in the booth. He will announce for the Duke vs Wake Forest match up on January 25, 2025. “One day to see that headline, not that someone won a basketball championship, but to see that a cure for cancer has been found, will be a great day for mankind,” Vitale, 85 years of age, said. Just nine days ago, Dick’s scan showed his cancer had gone. Vitale found out his demoralizing health factor back the summer, when a biopsy (an examination of tissue removed from a living body to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease) came back with the news he had a neck cancer. This diagnosis was not only his fourth time with having cancer, but four different kinds as well in the past 3.5 years. Dick has experienced melanoma and lymphoma, and six weeks of radiation treatment for vocal cord cancer. Dick is an all time legend who works for ESPN. His perseverance continues to inspire many, and he continues to succeed in what he loves. Best health regards to Vitale.
