A Sudden Change For Man City
Man City was one of the best teams in the league. They placed first in the Premier League last year and have won nine titles since 2011, but something is stopping them this year. These changes happened when Rodri tore his ACL, and he is out for the rest of the season. After that, Man City could not get any traction on this fall from greatness. It was difficult for Man City to lose one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. This was a big setback for Man City, because of this they are now placed seventh in the Premier League which is such a tremendous change for Man City who never worry about being top 3 in the Premier league. Their fall is not just affecting their Premier League standings but also their Champions League standings. Which is surprising because they have such a stacked team with Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Ruben Dias. This team with such talented players and tons of titles in past years could not beat the likes of PSG with the final score being 4-2 which put them 25th, and just out of reach of qualifying the Champion League with their record of two wins and 3 loses. This put PSG to 22nd with a record of 3-3 and still in the Champion League qualifiers. Though those City fans out there still can cling to hope if City wins their next game against Club Brugge, who are 3-2 , on January 29. This could be a redemption story or a heart wrenching loss. If they lose this, it could lead them down the hole of despair or it could give them the determination to get out of it. If they win it can lead to a redemption story, or a normal get a few rounds and then lose. Only time will tell. They could be a normal team until Rodri comes back.
