Joao Felix to The Rossoneri
With the January transfer window closing at 6 PM Eastern, as of February 3rd, AC Milan, competing in Serie A, has been one of the most active clubs in the market. The Rossoneri completed seven signings and saw seven departures during the window.
The creative 25-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder João Félix joins Milan on loan from Chelsea until June. Félix at this point has played all across Europe's top leagues, beginning his career at Benfica as a Golden Boy, Atlético Madrid, Barcelona (on loan), Chelsea (on loan), and now AC Milan.
Félix was present at the Derby della Madonnina (Milan derby) last night, watching from the stands as Milan and Inter played to a 1-1 draw, notably missing Chelsea’s game, so he could witness his new club in action.
It was completely confirmed after photos posted publicly on instagram with joao training in his new colors next to ex-chelsea star Christian Pulisic. Also on the internet photos and videos made with Joao Felix talking about AC Milan.
Despite immense talent, Félix has struggled to find consistency in recent years due to limited playing time and system fit at his previous clubs. However, under Milan's head coach Sérgio Conceição, he could have the opportunity to rediscover his best form.
Félix’s creativity and vision could be a valuable asset for the squad, whether he plays winger or midfield.
Can João Félix live up to his idol Kaká and light a match at Milan? Who knows, once we let this loan season for the star play out, we will have our answers. I have a good feeling that he will do great at his new club.
