The Fox is on the Move; Kings Open To Talk of De’Aaron Fox Trade
The Sacramento Kings are looking for potential offers for a De’Aaron Fox trade ahead of the trade deadline. The all-star has only one season left on his contract, and the Kings may be concerned they won’t be able to convince him to stay in the open market.
While many teams would kill for the chance to have De’Aaron Fox wear their jersey, Fox has had no problem making it known that the Spurs are his preferred designation. Fox is a member of Klutch Sports (Lebron’s agency whose head is Maverick Carter), and they supposedly have a destination in mind for free agency this upcoming season, unless a trade occurs before the market opens up.
The Kings have been struggling ever since firing their head coach, Mike Brown, last month, and the Kings haven’t had a successful season since making their run in the 2023 playoffs. Fox may want a team with more success. The Kings are currently looking to secure the final play-in tournament spot.
Fox has played his entire career for Sacramento after being drafted in 2017. Playing alongside Tyrese Haliburton, and eventually getting Domantas Sabonis, his team has always had good talent, but never quite clicked.
De’Aaron is fourth in Kings all time scoring, trailing only Oscar Robertson, Jack Twyman, and Mitch Richmond.
If this star moves, it may shift the momentum in the Western Conference. Stay tuned!
