His stats were out of this world. He hit 32 dingers, hit .332, and had 109 RBI’s. Baltimore Orioles. (AL) Gunnar Henderson Gunnar Henderson is one of the top shortstops in the league and finished fourth in the American League MVP voting but his stats showed he might have been number one. He hit .282, smashed 37 home runs, and had 92 RBI’s. He is only 23 years old so the sky's the limit for this fantastic young player. Toronto Blue Jays. (AL) Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is a top five first baseman in the league and had a star studded 2024 season. He hit .323, crushed 30 home runs, and drove in 103 runs. Guerrero will hit the free agent market after the 2025 season and is expected to sign a contract worth a hefty amount of money. Cleveland Guardians. (AL) Jose Ramirez was as close as you can get to a 40-40 season with 39 homers and 42 stolen bases. Jose Ramirez was the best third baseman in the American League according to the MLB tonight rankings. Jose Ramirez is a highly underrated player and is in MVP contention every season. Los Angeles Dodgers. (NL) Shoei Ohtani Shohei Ohtani is the most unique player to ever play baseball. He is the first player who pitches and hits and is one of the best in the game at both. You could make a legitimate case that he is the best player to ever play in the MLB. Last season he couldn’t pitch because of a surgery on his arm. He put up historic numbers becoming the first player ever to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases. Notice all of these firsts? Shohei Ohtani took home the 2024 NL MVP award for the third time. Maybe he’ll win his fourth. New York Mets. (NL) Juan Soto Juan Soto just signed the biggest contract ever in MLB history both in duration and cost. He signed a 15 year contract worth a staggering 765 million dollars! He is only 26 and is already one of the best players in the league. Along with Francisco Lindor, the two will be a powerful one-two duo. More about Lindor next. New York Mets. (NL) Francisco Lindor Francisco Lindor is one of the best shortstops in the MLB. There aren’t words to describe how much he means to the Mets but I’ll have to try. He is a five tool player who hits for average and power, he steals bases, has one of the best arms in the game, and has a glove you can rely on. He finished second in the 2024 NL MVP race and has come up clutch time and time again for New York. Los Angeles Dodgers. (NL) Mookie Betts Mookie Betts might have won the NL MVP if he hadn’t gotten injured. He still won a Silver Slugger award regardless. He has 6 Gold Glove awards, 7 Silver Sluggers, 3 World Series titles, and an MVP award under his 32 year old belt. If he can make it through the 2025 season without any injuries he is one of the top MVP candidates. Atlanta Braves. (NL) Ronald Acuna Jr. Ronald Acuna Jr. will be returning back to the league after suffering a season ending ACL tear. When he is healthy Acuna Jr. can do things many other players can’t. Becoming the first player ever to have a 40-70 season in 2023, He will be ready to go next season. However, Acuna Jr. will not be ready for opening day but is still likely to play during the beginning of the 2025 season. Keep your eyes open for this amazing player.
